Ophelia is a normal teenage girl; she deals with her family, crushes on a boy, dreams of growing up and getting out of her adolescent state. She struggles to be taken seriously- as so many young women do- and she internalizes her trauma in order to maintain the facade of the perfect daughter, girlfriend, and person. Ophelia is vulnerable, multifaceted, human. Focusing on the voyeuristic processes of dressing and undressing, Ophelia’s costumes highlight the vulnerability of her unraveling.
